Flappy Bat released from Corenety

Flappy Bat released

We are proud to announce the release of Flappy Bat. A Flappy bird clone with a twist. Instead of a bird, you are “tapping” a bat, that is trying to avoid flying explosive crates. And at the same time needs to avoid nasty bear traps at the top and the bottom of the screen. This project is a test project on many levels. It was made to test the game engine, graphics and other things. And the the kids enjoyed the process of making Flappy Bat.

As you can see from the screen shots below, we have tried to add some humour into the game as well. There are two different animations on game over. All depending on how you fail. Either by getting caught by the bear traps. Or by hitting one of the highly explosive crates.

The controls are easy. Click your left mouse button or space bar to fly. Since you need either a mouse or keyboard, the game doesn’t play very well on mobile devices. We might add mobile eventually. But we kind of feel the flappy genre is already used too much. And simply a lot of players hate everything with any flappy games. Hope this game is different enough to appeal to try though.

Flappy Bat is out on a few sites already.
You can find it on newgrounds.com
kick.today
maddes.no

Flappy Bat will be added to arcade streams as well, so it might show up on your favourite game site too.
Enjoy!
